TIPOFF Magazine was an award-winning, NBA-leading, 56-page glossy game day publication distributed to approximately 10,000 fans at every Miami HEAT home game. As the sole designer for four seasons, I designed roughly 175 issues from layout through the final production.
Working closely with the Editor-in-Chief, I translated editorial content, photography, player features, stats, and seasonal campaign messaging into a polished print experience. Each issue required balancing creative editorial design with strict Miami HEAT brand standards and the fast pace of an NBA game day production schedule.
Across each season, four to five campaign visual systems were rotated throughout the magazine, based on the jersey the team wore for that home game. I adapted these campaign styles across recurring departments, feature stories, covers, and sponsor-driven content while maintaining consistency across the full publication series.
The cover above was created using lenticular printing technology. This special issue celebrates Dwyane Wade's incredible legacy with the Miami HEAT throughout his career and was printed for his very last home game on April 9, 2019 at the AmericanAirlines Arena (now Kaseya Center).
